Muir Heritage Land Trust
The Muir Heritage Land Trust has permanently preserved over 2000 acres of natural area in Contra Costa County, one of the fastest growing regions of California. Generous support from numerous individuals, private foundations, businesses and government agencies has allowed the Land Trust to make the important acquisitions.
California Wilderness Coalition protects the natural landscapes that make California unique, providing clean air and water, a home to wildlife, and a place for recreation and spiritual renewal. CWC is dedicated to protecting and restoring California’s wild places and native biodiversity on a statewide level.
No Lafayette Bike Park –a campaign to prevent development in the Lafayette Community Park, a natural, mostly undeveloped haven in Burton Valley is fighting the construction of BMX bike jumps uphill from Las Trampas Creek.

REI Foundation
Annually, REI dedicates a portion of its operating profits to help protect and restore the environment, increase access to outdoor activities, and encourage involvement in responsible outdoor recreation. REI employees nominate organizations, projects, and programs in which they are personally involved to receive funding or gear donations. During 2009, REI granted $2 million to more than 250 of our community partners
